Our search for the perfect olive farm extended from Paarl to Plettenberg Bay, eventually leading to the purchase of a piece of heaven here in the Breede River Valley. When farming began on Zoetigheyd, Pete and farm manager, Daniel Munzvenga had to learn all about natural farming in order to avoid all the cynical comments and looks from the more traditional farmers in the area. The results are now evident in the gorgeous oil grown and pressed on the farm.

When the next door farm needed new custodians, Pete and Sandi bought it and renovated the old house to create Olive Hill Guest House, a tranquil retreat and convenient base for exploring the valley. When Sandi isn’t about, you’ll be welcomed by Daniel’s wife, the charming Modester who will make sure that you more than comfortable at Olive Hill Guest House.
